THE FUTURE OF SUNKISSED GREENZ: HEMP VS. POLITICS

If you've followed our journey over the last five years, you know that SunKissed Greenz has never been about politics.
We aren't politicians. We aren't lobbyists. We aren't corporate executives.
We're just two people who wake up every day with one goal: helping people feel better through natural wellness.

Our mission has always been simple—to formulate and provide high-quality natural wellness products that help people live healthier, happier lives. There has never been a hidden agenda. We don't put profits before people. We don't answer to shareholders. We answer to our customers, our community, and our own conscience.
Yet every single day, we find ourselves fighting for your (and our) right to access natural wellness.
When it's not a federal battle, it's a state battle. We get through one challenge only to find another waiting right behind it. It feels like a never-ending fight, and the reality is that as long as natural products continue helping people improve their health, this battle will likely continue.
Why?
Because too often, our political system seems focused on money first and health second.
A healthy person doesn't generate as much revenue for large industries as a sick person does. That's a difficult reality to ignore. If people can find relief and support through natural wellness products, that impacts some very large industries with very deep pockets.
Until our last breath, we will continue fighting for what we believe is right. We will continue putting people before profits because that's how we choose to live our lives—and that's how we sleep well at night.
Hemp Should Be Regulated—Not Prohibited
Before we go any further, we want to make one thing crystal clear:
SunKissed Greenz, along with countless responsible hemp businesses across the country, fully supports reasonable regulation.
Consumers deserve safe products.
Products should be properly tested.
Manufacturers should be held accountable.
What we do not support is prohibition.
We do not support shutting down or limiting hemp stores, hemp farms, and small businesses that have spent years building responsible operations.
The truth is, everything people consume should be held to high standards. Food, supplements, pharmaceuticals, and hemp products alike.
Let's be honest—the country has gotten sloppy.
Sloppy with food ingredients.
Sloppy with supplement oversight.
Sloppy with pharmaceuticals.
Sloppy with overall health.
Now more than ever, we need to return to supporting small businesses, local producers, family farms, and people who genuinely care about what goes into the products they create.
You get one body and one body only. It's simply not worth gambling with it.

What Is Happening With Hemp Laws?
Last November, federal lawmakers advanced legislation that would dramatically change the hemp industry.
Since the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp products have generally been regulated under a standard requiring hemp to contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC on a dry-weight basis.
The proposed federal changes would instead restrict products to no more than 0.4% THC per container. To put this in a clearer language- this is an extremely low amount and almost unattainable.
Illinois lawmakers have also moved forward with legislation supporting similar restrictions.
If enacted, these changes could severely limit consumer access to:
Full Spectrum CBD products
Delta-8 products
Delta-9 products
Many hemp-derived wellness products currently available
The concern for many hemp businesses is that these restrictions could impact products that are not intoxicating and are used by customers for everyday wellness support.
Lawmakers often cite safety as the reason for these changes.
And while safety absolutely matters, many consumers are left asking a reasonable question:
If these products are truly considered unsafe, why would similar products remain available through marijuana dispensaries?
It's a question many small hemp businesses continue to ask as regulations evolve.
The Reality for Small Hemp Businesses
The reality is that operating a hemp business has never been easy.
We started SunKissed Greenz with a stimulus check.
Just two people.

One dream.
A passion for natural wellness.
And a willingness to step outside our comfort zones and build something meaningful.
Over the last five years we've faced challenges that most traditional businesses never have to think about:
Higher payment processing fees
Limited banking options
Increased insurance costs
Elevated website compliance expenses
Weekly social media restrictions
Not being able to do paid ads
Constant regulatory uncertainty
And recently, we learned something else that was particularly frustrating.
After operating this business for five years, we were told that our hemp business income may not be viewed the same way as traditional income during certain lending processes for both business & personal.
Meanwhile, the IRS certainly recognizes our income when tax season arrives.
Sometimes it feels like we're fighting a war we never signed up for.
The truth is, we're just peaceful people with big hearts who want to help others through natural wellness.
Important Changes Coming June 15, 2026
Because of these ongoing uncertainties, Bryan and I have both returned to working full-time jobs outside of SunKissed Greenz.
That's a difficult decision to make, especially when our business is up 28% this year.
But when politicians are actively debating the future of your industry, you have to prepare for every possibility.
As a result, beginning June 15, our store hours will be changing.
This was not an easy decision.
We love serving our customers in person, and shortening our hours is something we hoped to avoid.
The good news is that our website remains available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with free shipping every day.
Whether you shop in-store or online, we remain committed to helping you find the products and support you need.
What's Next?
Over the coming months, you'll notice some changes.
We'll begin phasing out products that aren't among our strongest sellers so we can focus on the products our customers love most.
We'll continue investing in education, wellness resources, and innovative new products.
Most importantly, we'll continue evolving.
Because while challenges create uncertainty, they also create opportunity.
And that's where SunKissed Acres comes in.
We're incredibly excited about what's coming next.
SunKissed Acres represents the next chapter of our journey—one that focuses even more deeply on wellness, education, sustainability, and community.
Whether we have a storefront five years from now or not, our mission remains unchanged.
We're still here.
We're still fighting.
And we're still committed to helping people live healthier lives naturally.

Looking Ahead
We want to be transparent with you.
Depending on how federal and state regulations unfold, our retail storefront could face significant challenges by November.
If that happens, we'll communicate every step of the way.
There will be opportunities to stock up on your favorite products.
There will be sales.
There will be updates.
And there will always be honesty.
