Downward Dog - Dog Yoga, Pet Wellness & Adoption Event

Did you know?.....A study revealed that those who spent more time with dogs experienced a 300 percent increase in oxytocin levels. A whopping 87% of Americans were reported as happier than the average person because of owning a pet.

Please join us for a dog filled day as we end the dog days of summer. This is a morning of relaxation, yoga, dogs, shopping and sunshine! 

We will kick this morning off with DOG YOGA! Yes, you read that right. You've heard of goat yoga....Well now we have DOG YOGA and its for a truly amazing cause. Meet us (and some marvelous dogs) on your yoga matts. Pet, snuggle & fall in love with the dogs of NAWS animal shelter in Mokena . Sam from Yoga with Sam will be leading the class. This is an all levels yoga class so everyone is welcome.  There is a cost to attend yoga but the remainder of this event is FREE to attend. Yoga is optional.

Although this is a dog friendly event , we ask that only the dogs up for adoption with NAWS participate in the yoga portion of this event.  

From there you will be able to mingle & shop with local pet businesses and chat with NAWS about pet adoptions. If you should decide to adopt your new best friend at this event you will also go home with a swag bag of goodies which includes items from each of our vendors.

• Bosco’s All-Natural Dog & Cat Holistic Store- All-natural treats, effective wellness boosters, & hygiene care for your dog or cat!
• Furiends Pet Pantry- Furiends of Manhattan Pet Pantry, NFP is a volunteer run, resource for families in need.
• G n Jo Designs- an 11 year old entrepeneur who makes awesome dog keychains & accessories. 
• SunKissed Greenz Dog Station- Bring your dog by for bubble fun and CBD dog treat samples (while supplies last). 
• North Dogs- Nutritious and small batch made healthy treats for your dog.
• Rich's Pizza- Offering hot & delish pizza slices.
• Laura Elkins (Country Insurance)- Dog/Pet Insurance 
• Face Paintings by Ldot Designs- Providing face paintings. Check them out- part of there proceeds will be donated to NAWS. 
• MOMS Club of New Lenox is a nonprofit organization supporting at-home mamas in New Lenox, Mokena, Frankfort and Manhattan. The MOMS club & there little ones will be here with there lemonade stand serving fresh lemonade & baked goods. 
• Pawsitively Pampered Dog Spa & Boutique- Dog Grooming and Boutique for Your Favorite Furry Family Member.
• NAWS- Kissing Booth- For only $1 per kiss you could give smooches to some beautiful NAWS dogs. 100% proceeds will go to NAWS.
• Dog Oh Co - Adorable and affordable gifts for pets and pet people. 

We are also collecting donations on this day for the animals at NAWS. Click HERE for the NAWS wishlist. Wishlist items include cleaning supplies, cat litter & pans, paper towels, & even your gently used towels and blankets. 

The cost for yoga is $20 per person. Half of all yoga ticket sales purchased will be donated to NAWS animal shelter.  

Please bring yoga matts, If you do not have one feel free to bring a towel or you may borrow one of our matts.  See you there !
